VR tests at the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering

From Monday, January 10, 2022, we are starting tests of laboratory stands for the construction and diagnostics of MV switchgears made in virtual reality technology (VR) at the Laboratory of Electrical Apparatus and Switching Processes.

Dr. Eng. Tadeusz Daszczyński, as part of research and development, together with PRADMA Dariusz Naruszewicz, created a model of MV switchgear in VR technology. The MV switchgear model is based on a graphics engine used in computer games. The stations have been prepared similar to the switchgear of Elektrometal Energetyka S.A.

We invite everyone willing to test the application. The tests will be conducted as part of the engineering thesis entitled “Construction and evaluation of a laboratory stand for testing MV switchgears using VR technology in the power industry”, Mr. Kacper Berdek. Please make an appointment by e-mail: kacper.berdek.stud@pw.edu.pl. After the tests, each participant will be asked to complete an evaluation questionnaire, prepared in cooperation with employees of the University of Warmia and Mazury, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Clinical Psychology, Development and Education: Dr. Magdalena Marzec, Dr. Martyna Kotyśko and Ewa Waszkiewicz, MA.
