A group of students<\/strong> from the last semester of the undergraduate program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering<\/strong>, led by dr in\u017c. Adam Milczarek, as part of the course “Control of converters in power systems and renewable energy sources”, won the academic package of the real time simulator HIL402, as the main prize in the Typhoon HIL academic competition “10 for 10”<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Typhoon HIL<\/strong> is the market and technology leader in the rapidly-growing field of ultra-high-fidelity controller-Hardware-in-the-Loop (C-HIL) simulation for power electronics, microgrids, and distribution networks.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project<\/strong> implemented by the team concerned the development of a virtual model enabling the analysis of circulating powers in parallel connected power electronic converters.<\/strong> The model consisted of two power electronics converters connected to RL load in point of common coupling by LCL filters. The tool developed by the team were used to control the input signals of the SCADA interface. The use of measuring blocks made it possible to calculate the powers, amplitudes and angles of voltage and current vectors in a convenient way. All measured signals can be observed using a virtual oscilloscope (SCOPE).<\/p>\n

In addition to the main prize, 32 students participating in the project obtained the title of a certified HIL Specialist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
