We currently have five Doctoral Schools at WUT. The recruitment is now conducted in four of them:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd.pw.edu.pl\/sd_en\/Doctoral-Schools2\/Doctoral-School-no.-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doctoral School No. 1<\/a><br \/>\nresearch areas: chemical engineering, materials engineering, chemical sciences, physical sciences<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd.pw.edu.pl\/sd_en\/Doctoral-Schools2\/Doctoral-School-no.-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doctoral School No. 2<\/a><br \/>\nresearch areas: mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, automatics, electronics and electrical engineering, management and quality sciences<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd.pw.edu.pl\/sd_en\/Doctoral-Schools2\/Doctoral-School-no.-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doctoral School No. 3<\/a><br \/>\nresearch areas: automatics, electronics and electrical engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, technical information technology and telecommunications<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd.pw.edu.pl\/sd_en\/Doctoral-Schools2\/Doctoral-School-no.-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doctoral School No. 4<\/a><br \/>\nresearch areas: mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, mining and energy, automation, electronics and electrical engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Doctoral Schools are a form of doctoral education that has replaced the previously known third-cycle (doctoral) studies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The first step in the recruitment process<\/strong> is registration and submission of all required documents via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/irk.pw.edu.pl\/en-gb\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IRK system<\/a>&nbsp;(5-17 January 2022). Then there are recruitment interviews (scheduled for January 19-24). After the publication of the ranking list of pre-qualified persons (January 25), a document should be submitted within the prescribed period (January 26 &#8211; February 1) with the consent of the PhD supervisor and the head of the organizational unit where the research will be conducted.<\/p>\n<p>A detailed recruitment schedule is available on the website of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd.pw.edu.pl\/sd_en\/PhD-Students-Office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doctoral Schools<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ee.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/DOD_ULOTKA_poziom_EN_grudzien_2021.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10026\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ee.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/DOD_ULOTKA_poziom_EN_grudzien_2021-300x124.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"248\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ee.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/DOD_ULOTKA_poziom_EN_grudzien_2021-300x124.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ee.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/DOD_ULOTKA_poziom_EN_grudzien_2021-768x318.png 768w, https:\/\/www.ee.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/DOD_ULOTKA_poziom_EN_grudzien_2021.png 940w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each doctoral student receives a monthly scholarship of PLN 2,372 gross. They can also apply for additional scholarships from projects carried out at the University (e.g. Excellence Initiative &#8211; Research University or SEED &#8211; Internationalization of Doctoral Schools) and beyond.<br \/>\nAs part of the doctorate programme, a selected research topic is investigated. Doctoral students often have the opportunity to participate in interesting grants.
