ESS FlashCopy of a mounted AIX file system is supported using the JFS2 freeze/thaw function (available on AIX 5.2 with APAR IY66043, and on AIX 5.3 ML1). If you are using FlashCopy to backup mounted AIX filesystems, please see the restrictions listed in the following URL. Unsupported use can lead to data corruption.
