Graduates of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering among the winners of the Competition for the Siemens Award


On June 25, 2019, prizes for winners of the Siemens Award Competition were presented. Two graduates of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering were among the laureates of the 3rd Competition for the Siemens Award for Graduates in the field of Electrical Power Engineering:

  • Mgr inż. Paweł Bielenica for the master’s thesis entitled „Distributed SELF-HEALING GRID restitutive automation system” – 2nd prize.
  • Mgr inż. Mateusz Skwarski for the master’s thesis entitled „Optimal dimensioning of shunt braking resistor for transient stability improvement” – 3rd prize.

For the 24th time, Siemens together with the Warsaw University of Technology conducted a competition that promotes outstanding achievements in technology and scientific research conducted by employees of academic and non-academic institutions in Poland and graduates of universities.

Works related to the scope of Siemens activity are submitted to the competition. Among numerous applications from all over Poland, the jury chose the best works that have a chance for implementation and practical use with the support of Siemens as the prize founder.
